The Traveling Salesman and the Avon Lady

A traveling salesman was driving along a lonely road when all of a sudden a rabbit ran out into his path. The salesman swerved to avoid the rabbit but his efforts failed and he hit the rabbit. The salesman was overcome with grief. He couldn't believe he was responsible for the little rabbit's critical injuries. It became all too clear that the rabbit was going to die. After a short time, an Avon lady stopped to see what was the matter. The salesman told her about the accident and they both lamented over the rabbit's certain demise. The traveling salesman asked the Avon lady if she had some sort of miracle cure among her products. The Avon lady allowed she had her car full of products and it was worth trying to find something that would help in light of the rabbit's condition. After a short time she came back with a bottle of liquid that she poured over the rabbit and gently massaged over it's broken little body. All of a sudden the rabbit hopped to it's feet, looked at both of them and began hopping away. After a few yards the rabbit turned back to the astonished couple and waved; hopped a few yards further, turned and waved; hopped a few yards further, turned and waved. This continued until he was out of site. The traveling salesman turned to the Avon lady in amazement and asked what it was she rubbed on the rabbit. "I'm not sure," she said, "but the label says it will bring new life to your hair and create a permanent wave."
