At the AAUW Annual Holiday Luncheon, Saturday, December 6, 2008, at the Binghamton Club members of Southern New York Branch celebrated the holiday season with good food, good conversation and the annual Cookie Raffle.
The Social Hour began at 11:30, and at that time all the delicious cookies and other holiday treats brought by branch members for the Cookie Raffle were arranged on trays. Four trays of cookies were the prizes,
and the sale of the raffle tickets earned $410 for the AAUW Educational Foundation.
Luncheon in the Green room was lovely. The day was beautiful. In addition to raising money for AAUW Educational foundation, branch members brought donations for the Pajama Program. The Pajama Program provides new pajamas and books for children in foster care. Pajamas, rather then cash, were collected.
