**Help Needed**
Materials Needed for an Apostolate

Profile

I would like to share the genesis of this very special Apostolate. Many years ago, my car broke down, and I dropped it off at the shop to be repaired. So I had to take the bus to work. The busses only ran once every 30 to 60 minutes. I had just missed the bus, so I had to wait. So I pulled out my Irish Rosary, that I had picked up at the Knock Shrine in Ireland that I had attached a Miraculous Medal to it ... and I started to pray. A young man around my age at the time (late teens early 20's) came up and waited for the bus as well. He asked me about the Rosary in general (I would later find out that he was of German heritage and was raised as a Lutheran ... he was "non-religious"). I told him about the Rosary, and we continued to talk even after the bus picked us up. When it came time for me to get off the bus, I gave him my "most prized possession" (my Rosary, with the medal), along with my business card. Eventually he became a Catholic, later he entered a Religious Order as a Religious Brother, and later entered the priesthood. Later on he was transfered by his order to Ireland. This was the birth of my Apostolate for Our Lady.

Eventually, due to the many blessings from this first "gift" ... I felt lead to put together some "Combo Packs", that would contain:

a) 1 Chain Rosary (the medal wears out a cord Rosary quickly);

b) 1 Miraculous Medal (in "base medal", aluminum and brass damage rather easily);

c) 1 Plastic Laminated "How to pray the Rosary" card;

d) 1 Plastic Laminated "Divine Mercy Chaplet" card.

A prescription bottle (16 drams or larger) or a 35mm plastic film container are the perfect size for a standard sized Rosary with a standard sized Miraculous Medal attached. When they are available, I also use a Rosary pouch.

I then would carry at least a dozen wherever I went (the mall, grocery store, doctor's office, park, et cetera), letting the Spirit guide me as to whom I should give them. Whenever I would give away these gifts, I would request that the person say one "Hail Mary" each day, and to carry the Rosary with them at all times. Due to this, there have been many people who have returned to the Church ... many were converted to the faith ... and still more entered the Religious Life.

In California, where this Apostolate started, Our Lady allowed me to personally distribute over 200 of these "Combo Packs" a week. I am sure now that I live in Ohio, it can be just as successful as in California. My only limiting factor at this point and time is access to the materials needed for this very important Apostolate. If you feel led to supply any or all of the materials needed for this Apostolate, please feel free to follow the link at the bottom of this page for information on how you can contact us.

I have been "retired" since 1989 due to being an incomplete paraplegic and I am living on a "fixed income" (Social Security Disability & Suplimental Security Income), so I really can not afford the materials that I need to restart this Apostolate.

I have been looking for a Religious Order that would accept me, but I have not been able to find one that will accept me with my disability. I have found that this Apostolate allows me to serve until the Lord opens a door for me to enter His service in a more active way.
