For girls in grades 1 - 12, Horizon Stars Cheerleading is a
performance sport that teaches members teamwork,
tumbling & cheering skills while improving poise and
self-esteem. The squad will be performing at area venues
as well as competing in cheer meets.

The All-Star Cheering program at Horizon will be
coordinated by Laura Yoder, a former cheerleader and All-Star
coach. Laura became involved with All-Star Cheerleading while
attending Westview High School. She received UCA All-Star honors
and three-time NCA All-American honors, while earning a spot
with the Indiana Cheer Elite All-Stars.

Laura attended Valparaiso University where she cheered
for four years. In addition to cheering, Laura spent those four
years as the team's choreographer, becoming captain
the last three years. She was also the Assistant Coach for the
Indiana Cheer Elite for three years and has instructed
at various camps throughout the state.


Nicole Squires assists Laura with the cheer squad.
She is a Physical Education major and the captain of the
Valparaiso University cheerleaders.
