ASSEMBLY DIRECTIONS FOR THE ROTO-SEE-SAW

Thanks for purchasing the see-saw that rotates. By paying attention to the assembly details you will have a rotating see-saw that will give your children and/ or grandchildren
a lot of pleasure for a long, long time. May they use it in good health.

Tools and supplies:

1- 2"x 10"x 10' pressure treated board (free of knots)
1- 4"x 4"x 8' pressure treated post (pressure treated will prolong life of wood)
1- 80 pound bag of pre-mixed concrete (mix per instructions on bag)
1- Electric Drill Motor
1- 25/64 drill bit
1- 17/64 drill bit
1- Adjustable wrench or a 7/16" wrench or socket
1- Hammer
1- Level
1- Square
1- Pencil
1- Tape Measure
1- Large "C" Clamp
1- Set post hole diggers
Gravel

STEP 1- INSTALL 4"X4"POST
Using post hole diggers, dig a hole approximately 8" in diameter and at least 30" deep placing 2 inches of gravel in the bottom of the hole. Cut the 4"x 4" post to a length that will leave *18" above the ground after placing it in the hole. Using the level, make sure the post is plumb in both directions and brace it so there is no movement while the concrete is poured. Mix the concrete and slowly pour into the hole around the post. Make sure the concrete is uniformly poured with no voids and tapering the top slightly so water will run off when wet. Allow concrete to set for 24 hours before using. After concrete has set, remove bracing. Using drill motor and 25/64 drill bit, drill a hole 3" deep in the absolute
center of the post. ( find the center by using a straight edge and making a mark diagonally from corner to corner, where the two marks cross should be the center.)

STEP 2- INSTALL PIVOT BLOCK TO 2"X 10"X 10' BOARD
Mark the center of the 2"x 10" board using the tape measure, pencil and square making sure your mark is equal distance from each end of the board. After marking, place the pivot block (wood part) on the board and align the lines on the pivot block with the mark you just made. The 8"dimension runs lengthwise to the board. Center the block in the other direction also. The wood part should be centered on the 2"x 10" in both directions. Using "C" clamp, clamp the pivot block to the board. Next take the 17/64 drill bit, drill through the 2'x 10" at all four corners using the four holes in the block as guides.
After the holes are drilled, place a 3" stainless steel carriage bolt in each hole with threaded end on pivot block side, install washer and nut then tighten. When board is placed on post the nuts should be on the bottom. Place the 2"x 10" right side up on the post and place spike end of the pivot pin in the hole. Place a scrap piece of lumber or anything that will prevent marring the surface on top of the board and drive pivot pin into the post until shoulder seats on top of the post.

STEP 3- INSTALL HANDLES AND SPACER BLOCKS
Mark a line across 2"x 10" that is 22 inches from each end. Using the spacer block that is with the handle, center the block on the line and the center of the board. To double check measurements, there should be the same distance from each end of the block to each side of the board. Holding the block securely and using the 17/64 drill bit mark each hole location. Remove the block and drill holes through the 2"x 10". After drilling the holes, place a 5" stainless steel carriage bolt through handle, spacer block and 2"x 10". Install washer and nut on bottom of board and tighten. After doing this to both handles the ROTO-SEE-SAW should be ready for use.

*IMPORTANT NOTICE: TO PREVENT ANTI-TILT PIN FROM BREAKING; AFTER ASSEMBLY, PLACE A LEVEL ON TOP OF SEE SAW'S 2"X10"X10' BOARD - MEASURE DISTANCE TO THE GROUND WHILE MOVING 360 DEGREES AND MAKE SURE THAT NO WHERE THE DISTANCE IS GREATER THAN 22 INCHES FROM TOP OF THE BOARD TO THE GROUND SURFACE. IF IT IS GREATER THAN 22 INCHES BUILD UP  THE GROUND SURFACE OR CUT REQUIRED AMOUNT FROM THE END OF THE 4"X4" POST.

MAINTENANCE-
To insure the ROTO-SEE-SAW lasts a long time, periodically check to make sure all nuts are tight. At the beginning of each Spring and Fall apply a good wood preservative to the top, sides and bottom.
