A rare find, one of a kind, giving all he has to his fellow man.
When others would be down and living in self pity,
He is up cheering others on with his wit and humor.
When life gives him bumps, he turns them into laughter.
He can see humor where others see pain.
A talker, a listener, a doer and a giver,
Whatever may be your problem becomes his to solve.
Neither strokes, broken bones, or losing his sight,
He is a survivor and he keeps coming back.
No matter what his ailments or any of his conditions,
His humor never falters, he always stays attuned.
He feels for those he touches, and he touches many,
A heart of gold, the spirit of an angel.
Something you may need and he has it to give,
No obligations does he make, he'll give freely.
His arms are open wide for the weary,
Ready to give a hug of hope to everyone he meets.
A friend to one, he's a friend to all,
To know him is to love him.
His soul is shared by many.

Ed before he became ill...This was the Ed I want to remember!!!

HELLO my friends of the internet.
I am dedicating this page to a very dear friend of mine who had more than his share of problems. He suffered from diabetes. He had numerous strokes and from these he had broken quiet a few bones when he fell. He had gone through a kidney transplant, heart problems, sight problems and many other problems related to his ailment. He had been home bound for a couple years. He had to have his right leg amputated.
Since I have been online the last 3 years, he thrived on my stories of the wonderful friends I have made on here. He kept saying one day he will have a computer and meet more of the people out here. However, everytime it looked like he may be able to afford one, something else happened or a friend was in need and he put his enjoyment aside. Some of you have already met Ed when he was still able to get out of the house and I would bring him to my home to chat with some of my friends.
Well, because of my Internet friends, his dream was fullfilled. Because of various donations, I was able to get him the computer and did have him online for a short time before he passed on. His happiness and joy was easily seen in his eyes. You can all feel good that you made him smile more in his last few days.
I am sorry to have to announce, ED passed away 8-02-99...

Thank you one and all for the love and prayers you sent his way. He was able to meet some of you and gave him very big smiles!!!
