Why Violence?

Is it violence in the news,
Or violence in the movies,
Maybe the violent games,
Or the violence in the homes,
That makes the violence in our streets?
Can we explain why our children kill?
Can they understand what they are doing?
Does age make for responsibilities,
For the harm they do?
At what age can they be held accountable,
For the people's lives that they take?
Do they learn to be violent,
Or do they think they are only playing a game?
Can you protect your children from any harm,
Can you guard them from any crime?
What can you teach the children,
To never cause someone harm?
When your children leave home,
Do you know they will return?
