Today, Now, Here And Computers

We are upon the eve of a new century.
Decades of past brings us to today.
Families come together through the computer world,
Others are destroyed by the net waves.
Countries once closed are now open,
Religion now flourishes where it once was banned.
Smokers now must be cautious to light,
No public buildings, and more restaurants.
Televisions replaced by the computer monitors.
Love relations form from far away,
People live lives in word, not flesh.
War on the verge as the clock ticks away.
Enemies of mankind, fight for the control.
Medications by prescription replaced by herbs.
Surgery done in the AM, return home in the PM.
Corruption still multiplies in politics and law,
Who do we trust, who can we trust?
The net is policed to catch a few,
The ones policing, can they be pure?
Economy is up, investments are too,
Unemployment is down, it all affects us for sure.
Space travel is still with us,
Photographing the universe million miles away.
Wherever you look, or wherever you go,
Technology through computers, you will find.
