Lucy, Queen of Comedy
(1911-1989)
The times were long, long ago,
In the fifties is when it was.
This lady brought us her laughter,
Through everything she did.
As the times keep ticking on,
Her memory will always be.
We laughed with her,
No matter what our troubles were.
The reddest of hair she did have,
Did show even of the TV's of old.
The fifties would never have been the same,
Without this Queen of comedy's fame.
Through all the troubles she could cause,
We laughed for all we could.
Her beauty could not be matched by any flower,
And she had the heart of purest gold.
She always came into our homes,
We welcomed her with opened arms.
The finest of Ladies if ever there was,
Was the lovely Lucille Ball.
