Princess Diana

July 1, 1961 to August 31, 1997

The world has lost a prize, a little of its pride.
Losing such a gift as her, the shame it ended too soon.
A childhood fantasy to marry a Prince,
One as special as she, a fantasy of life was hers.
From Lady to Princess, she filled the world,
With her charm and her caring and her simplest smile.
She lived a life of giving, a true humanitarian by far.
A mark in the world she has left to be remembered,
Will grow within our hearts with every passing day.
She gave her country a marriage of heir to the throne,
One which they had longed to have for many a year.
An English woman by blood, a worldly woman by trait.
She gave us hope, helped the needy, she taught the young,
Spread your wings around us now, the Angel in the sky.
Your joy you shared, the caring you gave,
No award or honor could ever be given,
To show you how much we really care.
There's nothing we could ever do to let you see,
All the souls you touched in life or your untimely death.
Your soul will never die, forever in our hearts and minds.
A Princess, a lady, a sparkling gem,
No single word, no greatest expression,
Fully describes the precious gift you were to this world.
In that brief moment when it came to an end,
Our deepest desires, no pain you should have felt.
You gave the world your soul, opened up your heart,
That heart of gold, for the lives you touched, enriched us all.
From your fairy tale romance, your storybook wedding,
Your loving family to the heart breaks you felt,
All the world was behind you, your journeys were pure.
You had the world in your hand, yet no pedestal you'd take,
The young, the ill, the animals you cared, your life you gave to all.
We will miss the music you played, your untraditional manner,
Rest well our dear Princess, know that we truely care.
