America's Tragedy

A commentary by
GravyDave

On September 11, 2001, there was a horrendous attack on America on American soil. The most hideous ever. This attack was against our freedom and the freedom of the free world. Terrorist, the shame of humanity, they care not for human life and wage their war with the lack of courage. They attack by cowardliness ways. Using any means to cause multitudes of deaths; they have no respect for humanity and life means nothing to them. This was an attack against the world because they did not care what nation any of the lives they took came. They may have aimed at the American people, but they killed anyone who was in the location of their mass destruction. Only the lowest form of individuals could be responsible for this attack. Americans need to stand together, as they have shown they can. Now is not the time to attack other Americans because of their nationality, color or creed. We must support one another, we are all American citizens living the life of freedom. We will fight for freedom as we have fought for it in the past and will continue anytime it is threatened. We are a peace loving nation. We hold out our hands with open arms to those in need. We enjoy our freedom and we have earned it time and time again. When a disaster hits anyone or any nation, we are there to lend support. We now need everyone’s support in our moment of horror. Families have become broken. Loved ones lost and buildings crumbled. Our courage to overcome will prevail. We will only become stronger and more united. This nation united, cannot be divided. There will be a long road to recovery, yet we will recover. There will be many hardships, but we will find support in our neighbor. Someone, so many someones, care.
It is evident, America lives...

"Potential"

Not only do you have to be positive,
You have to promote it in everything you do.
Send your energy out to others,
Uplifting them to their fullest potential.
Look inside everyone, feel their soul,
See the beauty of their spirit.
You can find love for everyone,
Even if it is only for what they are capable of.
Beauty goes way beyond the surface,
To the very core of an individual.
Of some, they prefer not to show it,
Yet it is there, it’s their potential.
Love them for what they could be,
For what they should be,
Not for what they portray,
Especially if they portray bad or evil.
We all have the potential to be good,
To do good, to send out uplifting energy to all.
You can make others realize their wrongs,
Make them see the light of the future.
You can change their energy field,
With your thoughts of love.
With the positive energy you send out,
You can make a difference,
Yet you may never see it,
Know that it worked.
