Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's image lies in the parent fractal that results when equal parts of Z⁴ and Z⁶ are mixed and C is added.   This parent fractal looks somewhat like a butterfly with a head on the negative X-axis shaped like a Mandelbrot bud.

With thick arms converging on its mouth, this bud appears to be non-critical, but curious double-bays along the edges of these arms are filled with spider-like minibrots.   Today's image shows one of these minibrots made all the better by rendering it with the inside set to 'bof61'.

After all the work, I rated the image at an average 7.   It's kind of fun to look at, with a bit of an art-deco feeling.   I named it "Time for Thinking" for some reason that I have forgotten.   The words probably just popped into my head.   (An armchair psychologist could probably work up a complete psychoanalysis based on the names I give the FOTD's that just pop into my head.)

Luckily for those with time issues, today's image calculates in only 1-1/6 minutes, about the time it takes to make a New-York style egg cream.   (An egg cream consists of chocolate syrup, milk and seltzer water mixed in just the right amounts.   The amounts are critical.   It's kind of a chocolate ice-cream soda without the ice cream.)

Lots of clouds and humidity with some sun and a temperature of 84F 29C made Sunday a perfect day for warm weather activity here at Fractal Central.   The fractal cats believe in warm weather inactivity however, so they did little but eat and sleep.   My day was correspondingly inactive.   If I get the ambition, the next FOTD will be posted in around 12 hours.   Until then, take care, and then do it again.
