FOTD -- July 19, 2009   (No Rating)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

I might have expected FL to be bitten by the antiquing bug on Saturday, and so she was.   We spent the entire afternoon at an antique emporium an hour away.   Luckily, we got back to FC in time for me to find a barely adequate fractal.

Today's image lies in the East Valley of a larger minibrot in the Z^(1.5)+C Mandeloid as it appears 100 levels up the logarithmic ladder when no function is applied.   The typical East Valley elements are there -- at least bits of them are there.

Do not try to investigate the minibrot at the center.   With the magnitude of the entire image already at a galactic 2*(1012), the tiny dot at the center is well beyond resolution.

The name I gave the image, "Clandestine Action", must have some connection to the image, though at the moment the connection eludes me.

Rather than embarrass myself by rating the image at a lowly 4, I gave it no rating at all.   The calculation time of just over 4 minutes is within reason, but an even more convenient way to see the image is to view it on the FOTD web site at:
A near perfect day prevailed here in the Fractal Central area on Saturday, with enough sun and a temperature of a un-summerlike 73F 23C.   Only a few too many clouds prevented the day from being absolutely perfect.   The fractal cats were cranky after being left alone for the entire afternoon, but cheered up when their treat was served.   The next FOTD will be posted in 24 hours.   Until then, take care, and think positive in a negative manner.   Or is it the other way around?
