FOTD -- December 16, 2008 (No Rating) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: An unusual rush on Monday means the FOTD for December 16 is not only quite late, it is also quite abbreviated. The image is simply a deeper scene in the same type of image as yesterday's FOTD. I named it "Microscopic Outlook" because of its magnitude; I gave it no rating because of its hastiness. The calculation time of 5-2/3 minutes is a bit longer than the image is actually worth, so I recommend viewing the finished image on the FOTD web site at: But before surfing out there, give Paul a chance to calculate and post the image. Heavy clouds and occasional light rain spoiled the spring-like temperature of 61F 16C here at Fractal Central on Monday. The fractal cats sulked through most of the day, while my day was frantically busy. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a bit less frantic, though the actual appearance of a FOTD is problematic.
