Fractal of the Day

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Due to a holiday work rush, today's image is a near repeat, simply a small outzoom and slight perturbation of yesterday's. I gave it no rating, though I did name it "Outward Bound". The image is a scene in the 4-D hypercomplex Mandelbrot set. There is really very little I can say about the image, since I know very little about it. It's still a total mystery how such infinitesimal changes in parameters can make such great changes in the image. The calculation time of 7 minutes is reasonable. Going to the FOTD web site and viewing the finished image there is even more reasonable. The web site may be accessed at: Lots of clouds and a temperature of 37F 3C made tha fractal cats unhappy here at Fractal Central on Wednesday. Lots of work and too little time made me unhappy.
