FOTD -- November 26, 2008   (No Rating)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

An exceptionally busy day could not keep down today's FOTD, though it did cut short the discussion.

The image is a scene in the East Valley of the large minibrot on the main spike of the HyperMandelbrot set.   I named it "Where is the Minibrot?" because the minibrot that should be at he center is nowhere in sight.

I could not give a rating to an image that I put almost no effort into, so I let it go unrated.

The calculation time of 8 minutes is longer than I would have liked, but still well within reason.   Even more reason may be found at the FOTD web site, where the completed image is posted for instant gratification.   The web site may be accessed at:

Lack of sun and a chilly temperature of 41F 5C kept the fractal cats in a bad mood on Tuesday here at Fractal Central.   My bad mood was caused by the graphic work, which was even heavier than expected.   The heavy work will continue tomorrow, so I cannot guarantee that there will be a FOTD, but the odds are in favor of it appearing.   Until next time, take care, and walk with the angles in heaven.   They are all right.
