Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Today's discussion is brief because I spent quite a bit of time trying to explain to FL why we will elect no messiah on Tuesday. Basically, the reason is that I see no messiah on the ballot. But I prefer to avoid getting involved in politics, so let's get on with the fractal talk. Today's image is perhaps the least attractive minibrot of all time, which explains the name "The Worst Minibrot". But unattractiveness does not always mean hopelessness. Yesterday's unusually attractive image is actually located deep in the stuff filling the interior of today's minibrot. What we have in today's image is a minibrot caught about halfway through the process of morphing from quadratic to quintic. And like a caterpillar halfway through its metamorphosis into a butterfly, the present appearance is rather unattractive. Considering all this, I could rate the image no higher than a humble 3. The good news is that the image calculates in a hyper 51 seconds. The better news is that the finished image is posted for instant viewing pleasure on the FOTD web site at: Morning clouds gave way to afternoon sun here at Fractal Central on Saturday, while the temperature reached a high of 61F 16C. The fractal cats were glad when the sun appeared just in time for them to enjoy their afternoon nap in the sunny window. My day was about average. The next FOTD will be posted in 24 hours.
