FOTD -- October 10, 2008   (No Rating)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

I'm afraid I can no longer keep the FOTD going on a daily basis with FL's continuing state of panic and a constant need for calming words.   So as of tomorrow, I will stop posting the FOTD every day.   When the present panicky financial situation is well behind us, I will resume the regular daily schedule.   But this does not mean there will be no FOTD's until then, I will still post the FOTD on the less-panicky days.

I have totally forgotten what today's image is about, but I think it lies in the East Valley of its parent fractal.   I gave it no rating and I named it "A Hole in One".   The distorted minibrot at the center is certainly a hole in something.

The included parameter file calculates in just under 6 minutes.   The trip to the FOTD web site to view the finished image is even faster.   The web site can be found at:

An absolutely perfect day prevailed here at Fractal Central on Thursday, with total sun and a temperature of 77F 25C. This made the fractal cats happy.

My day was hectic, but hopefully tomorrow will be calmer.   The next FOTD will be posted who knows when.   Until then, take care, and wait for the fractal rescue with bated breath.
