Fractal of the Day

FOTD -- April 02, 2008   (Unrated)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's image is unworthy of either name or rating, and I gave it neither.   Curiously, the day was quite slow and I spent more time than usual searching for a worthy FOTD.   But the more I searched, the less attractive the fractals became.   I finally gave up the search, took the best I had found, livened it with an fmod outside and bof61 inside, and called it fractal of the day for April 02.

The parent fractal came into being when I combined 0.8 negative part of Z^(-11) with 8.8 negative parts of (1/Z) and added (1/C).   The parent fractal reminds me of a splitting atom, with today's scene located on the nucleon that shot out to the northwest.

The calculation time of over 15 minutes is inexcusably slow, so why not go straight to the FOTD web site at:
http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html
and view the finished image there.

Record warmth arrived at Fractal Central on Tuesday afternoon, with lots of sun and a temperature of 73F 23C.   A mild thundershower at sunset did not spoil a near-perfect day.   The dynamic cats agreed.

My day was not very busy, but for some reason fractal inspiration eluded me.   I'll try again tomorrow.   Until next time, take care, and as the parent fractal of today's image shows, even sub-atomic reactions are fractal.
