Fractal of the Day

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Computer troubles raised their ugly heads here at Fractal Central on Saturday, which is the day I work on Sunday's FOTD. The problem was finally solved, but as a result of the trouble, I had very little time for a fractal. I did manage to find one however. I found it on the eastern extremity of the parent fractal for December. I added a bit of interest by half evaporating the scene, then rendering it with the outside set to 'mult' and the inside set to 'atan'. I could not rate the image, which served mostly as a distraction from the day's irritations, but I named it "A Fractal in Need", which describes it pretty well. The calculation time of 53 seconds is blessedly brief. Even more blessed is the instant viewing of the image on the FOTD web site, which may be accessed at: A cloudy chilly morning gave way to a sunny but chilly afternoon here at Fractal Central on Saturday. The fractal cats disapproved of the temperature of only 37F 3C. They did approve of the sun streaming in the southwest window however.
