Fractal of the Day

FOTD -- November 23, 2007   (No Rating)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's image is a scene in West Valley of the Z^(3.001)+C Mandeloid, which is entirely different from East Valley.   Unfortunately, this difference is totally invisible in today's image, which could just as easily have been found in West Valley of the much-simpler Z3+C Mandeloid.

I named today's image "Forever Nameless", which is kind of a paradox, since I will never know for sure whether the image actually has a name.   Of course, the image is not rated.   I could never rate a fractal that I found with my eyes almost closed.

The only thing saving the image from the waste-basket is its calculation time of only 22 seconds, which is faster than the speed of light in water.   And if even this is too slow, the finished image will soon be posted for instant viewing on the FOTD web site at:
http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html

A sunny and warm morning was interrupted by a midday shower, followed by a sunny but breezy and cooler afternoon here at Fractal Central on Thursday.   The temperature reached 66F 19C just before the shower arrived.   I was too busy eating to take too much notice of the weather, while the fractal cats were too busy begging treats from the table to care about it.   The next FOTD will be better planned and will arrive in just about 24 hours.   Until then, take care, and seek until you find.
