FOTD -- May 31, 2007   (Rating 5)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

I never give up searching for a great midget in a Mandeloid fractal with an exponent of Z between 1 and 2.   The search continues in today's image, which lies in the Z^(1.5)+C Mandeloid as it appears 55 levels down the logarithmic ladder.

The midget at the center is a bit too gaudy for a rating higher than a 5.   I named the image "Still Searching" because I am still searching for that elusive spectacular scene in a Mandeloid of the order 1.n.   I will continue searching indefinitely, for I will not fail until I stop searching.

Today's image calculates in 7 minutes on the fast machine.   On the slow machine it would take around 1/2 hour to finish.   So why not forget the burdensome task of calculation and view the finished image on the FOTD web site at:

Another perfect day went un-appreciated here at Fractal Central on Wednesday.   There have simply been too many perfect days during the past month.   At least today's fractal has enough imperfections to avoid boredom.

Speaking of fractals, the next one, the first for the month of June, will appear in 24 hours.   Until then, take care, and who knows where fractals end.
