Fractal of the Day

FOTD -- May 14, 2007   (Rating 7)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's image was generated when I combined 11 negative parts of Z^(-1.1) with one negative part of Z^(-6.1) and added (1/C) to produce a humongous parent fractal with one large 'fan' and countless ringlets.   Today's scene is located in a ring close to the 'fan'.

I named the image "Red Eyes".   The reddish spots surrounding the invisible midget at the center do appear somewhat like bloodshot eyes.   The center midget is invisible because it is filled in with 'bof61' inside fill.   In fact, the entire image is 'evaporated'.   It consists totally of inside material, which has been brought to life by the 'bof61' inside fill.

The calculation time is a very brief 54 seconds on the P4-2000 unit.   This is probably a shorter time than would be required to visit the FOTD web site at:
http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html
and view the completed image there.

Mother's Day Sunday was as fine a day as ever happens here at Fractal Central.   Even the fractal cats agreed that the crystal clear skies and temperature of 66F 19C could not be improved upon.

My day was about average.   Tomorrow is expected to be the same.   The next FOTD will appear in 24 hours.   Until then, take care, and be careful of fractal intricacy.
