Fractal of the Day

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Another extremely busy day means another short discussion. Take 1/2 part of Z^(-3.5), subtract 1/2 part of Z^(3.5) from it, add C, and what do you get? You get the parent fractal of today's image. This parent is little more than a ring of fractal debris with 4 small Mandelbrot sets scattered through it. One of these M-sets has its east end partly cut off. Today's scene is located in a branch of the Seahorse Valley of this cut-off Mandelbrot set. The image has neither name nor rating, but it is still reasonably enjoyable. The calculation time of 3 minutes will try the patience of only those with none to spare. But even better than calculating the image is going to the FOTD web site at: A partly cloudy day with occasional light flurries of snow and a temperature of 37F 3C went un-noticed by the fractal cats, who passed the day sleeping and romping. I passed the day working. Heaven only knows how I found the time for today's FOTD. The next FOTD will appear in 24 hours. Until then, take care, and hike through the forest of fractals with ease.
