Fractal of the Day

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Today's rather unusual image is a scene in the Z^(1.5)+C Mandeloid as it appears 111 levels up the logarithmic ladder. At this level the parent fractal, much like yesterday's parent fractal, resembles a distorted Mandelbrot set rotated 180 degrees. Today's scene is located near the tip of a cluster of filaments on the southwest shoreline of what passes for a main bay. Today's FOTD is unusual for an image in the Z1.5 range. It actually shows some detail other than radiating discontinuities. The near-perfect spirals twisting from the midget are what brings the image to a rating of a 7. The name "Spirals of Desire" came to mind while I was standing in line at the local market this afternoon, and happened to glance at the title of one of those junky romance paperbacks that flood the shelves of book stores. The render time of 2-1/4 minutes is thankfully brief. The only thing briefer would be a visit to the FOTD web site at: Clouds and occasional sprinkles of rain, with a temperature of 46F 8C, kept a damper on things here at Fractal Central on Saturday. The fractal cats were still out of sorts with each other for most of the day, but their evening treat seemed to restore their good moods. Tomorrow will tell how permanent the good moods are. My day was fair enough. My bum ankle is about 80-percent recovered, and the work is light. This could be good news in the fractal department.
