Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's image is named "Snowflake Symphony".   The reason for the name is obvious.   The parent fractal, a distorted Mandelbrot set with a split East Valley and an augmented main stem, was created by combining 10 parts of Z^(1.1) with one part of Z^(11) and adding C.   Today's scene is located in the fancy chaos near the tip of the main stem.

Though not of exceptional quality, the image deserves at least some kind of rating.   I obligingly gave it a rating of 6.   The render time of 2 minutes is fast enough on even my tired old machine.   An even faster way of viewing the image is to visit the FOTD web site at:

Lots of clouds and occasional flurries of snow, with a temperature of 32F 0C and a biting wind, made the outdoors quite uncomfortable here at New Fractal Central on Tuesday.   The fractal cats spent the day inside however, busy tearing up a newspaper.   Their energy waned by treat time.

My day was acceptable.   Tomorrow should be the same.   The next FOTD will appear in 24 hours.   Until then, take care, and stay on the warm side.
