Fractal of the Day

FOTD -- November 28, 2006   (No Rating)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's image shows just a little of what happens when 0.2 parts of Z^(7.7) are mixed with 1.4 parts of Z^(0.77) and C is added.   The parent fractal appears as a Mandeloid with an East Valley divided into several arms.   Today's scene is located in this East Valley area.

To add to the interest I calculated the image with the inside set to 'zmag', an option I use very little.   In my opinion, the result does not quite earn a name or rating, but it is still a rather interesting image to see.

The calculation time of over 14 minutes on my machine is too slow for such a nondescript result.   But the finished image is posted on the FOTD web site at:
http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html
where it may be viewed at leisure.

Hazy sunshine and a temperature of 54F 12C made the outdoors reasonably pleasant.   Lots of food and an inside temperature of 70F 21C kept the fractal cats happy.   Lots of work, plus a bum ankle that is coming along all too slowly, made my day marginal.   But tomorrow promises to be far more relaxing, allowing more time for the FOTD.   Until then, take care, and be at one with everything.
