FOTD -- October 23, 2006   (No Rating)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

With a few minutes to spare on a Sunday evening, I have found a fractal.   In my opinion, it is not a great fractal, but since greatness is in the mind of the beholder, it might be great in some alien mind.

The image is a scene in the fractal that results when Z^(-0.5) is mixed with Z^(-5.5) and (1/C) is added.   I named it "FOTD-ette Number-1", and gave it no rating.   The 18 minutes spent calculating the image may be avoided by viewing the image on the FOTD web site at:
http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html

The weather has been kind of cloudy and chilly here at New Fractal Central for the past few days.   The fractal cats have been themselves.   The next FOTD will appear whenever I get the opportunity, probably within a day or two.   Until then, take care, and if we were automatons with no self-awareness, would we believe that unconscious matter could create consciousness?
