Fractal of the Day

Jim Muth's fractal image in GIF format (640x480).

FOTD -- April 27, 2006   (No Rating)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's fractal image will be the last until the first day of May, which BTW is only four days off.   I will have no time for fractals until then because there is too much stuff that needs to be done piling up here at OFC.

Today's image takes us on a trip into a valley of the Z^(1.95)^C Mandeloid as it appears 10 levels up the logarithmic ladder.   I gave the image neither name nor rating, though it really makes a rather pleasant picture.

The render time of 7-1/2 minutes is slightly slow, but even this slight slowness may be avoided by downloading the pre-rendered GIF image from the FOTD web site at:
http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html

It was slightly chilly here at Old Fractal Central on Wednesday, but the sun was warm and the fractal cats were happy.

With so much that needs to be done, I was not happy however.   Until Monday May 1, take care and let it happen in four days.
