FOTD -- April 15, 2006   (No Rating)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's visit to the Z^(2.1)+C Mandeloid as it appears 10 levels up the ladder is nothing but chaos and riotous colors, which in fact is what I named it.   Such blatant gaudiness deserves no rating, and indeed the image has none.

The scene is located in a chaotic area of a bud on the southwest shoreline of the main bay of the parent fractal, which is a somewhat distorted and rotated Mandelbrot set.   The rotation puts the bud on the northwest shoreline of the main bay.

The 15-minute render time of the included parameter file may be avoided by downloading the pre-rendered image from the FOTD web site at:

Morning clouds and sprinkles gave way to afternoon sun and warm temperatures in the 70's F, low 20's C.   The cats' morning displeasure turned to afternoon happiness.   By the time the day ended, they had enjoyed several trips to the holly thicket.

My day was very busy, which has become the rule rather than the exception.   The next FOTD will likely but not certainly appear right here in 24 hours.   Until then, take care, and count your iterations.
