FOTD -- April 08, 2006   (No Rating)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's image shows the environs of one of the midgets I found well-hidden in the FOTD image for April 5, which was named 'Fractal Stuff'.   (The midget itself is too small to be clearly defined.)   It is much like the midgets Lee has already found in the 'Stuff' image.   But even though it is not original, today's image is not bad, and if rated on its own merits would earn something like an 8.   I consider it a second-hand image however, so I did not bother giving it a name or a rating.

The render time of 14-1/2 minutes is within reason, but may be bypassed entirely by going to the FOTD web site at:
http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html
and downloading the finished image from there.

A chilly, rainy morning with a temperature of 48F 9C gave way to a sunny afternoon with a temperature of 75F 24C.   Even though the grass had too little time to dry, the fractal cats took to the yard and spent most of the afternoon lurking in the brush.   At 10pm a thunder-storm moved in, but by then the duo had long since ended their day.

I spent most the afternoon trying to get ahead, unfortunately, with little success.   Fractal lady and I will be away from Old Fractal Central this weekend, continuing to prepare the New Fractal Central.   The next FOTD will appear on Tuesday, April 11.   Until then, take care, and just wait three days and watch what happens next.
