Fractal of the Day
by Jim Muth

Apricots and Oranges ©
Jim Muth's fractal image in GIF format (640x480).

FOTD -- March 19, 2006   (Rating 8)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

The parent fractal of today's image consists of three small Mandeloids, with the center one partially obscured.   Today's scene lies in the 'Seahorse Valley' area of the obscured Mandeloid.

I named the image "Apricots and Oranges" because of the orange tints in the area surrounding the central midget.   The image rates a possibly overblown rating of 8.

The render time of 11-1/2 minutes may be bypassed by downloading the completed image from the FOTD web site at:

Brisk winds and a temperature of 41F 5C kept the fractal cats indoors all day Saturday here at Old Fractal Central.   Things that needed to be done kept me busy almost all day.   The next FOTD will appear in 24 hours.   Until then, take care, and see the old familiar things in a new light.
