Fractal of the Day

FOTD -- February 14, 2006   (Not Rated)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's image, with its striking 7-pointed stars, is a Julia set of the Z^(1.05)+C Mandeloid as it appears 100 levels up the spiral ramp.   I gave it neither name nor rating.   The best point of today's FOTD might be its extremely brief render time, which was achieved by rendering it with 'passes=b'.

The image has been posted on the FOTD web site at:
http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html

A sunny cold day with deep snow kept the fractal cats snug indoors on Monday.   There was enough work to keep me busy also.   The next FOTD will be posted in 24 hours.   Until then, take care, and beware of stray Julia sets.
