Fractal of the Day

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: The parent fractal of today's image came about when I combined (1/Z) with 1/2 part of Z^(1.3) and added C. I will not attempt to describe this parent fractal, which may quickly and easily be reproduced. Today's scene is located on a side filament of the tiny negative stem of its parent. Though I put almost no effort into the image, it still earns a rating of a 7. It also seems worth a name, so I gave it the name, "A Squared Square". The reason for the name will be immediately apparent when the image is seen. The insignificant render time of 54 seconds on my 10-year-old machine will become even more insignificant on a newer unit. The brief render time may be eliminated entirely by downloading the finished GIF image from the FOTD web site at: Continued routine winter weather limited the cats' outdoor time to under one hour here at Old Fractal Central on Thursday.
