FOTD -- January 15, 2006   (NO RATING)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

A bit of unscheduled work kept me busier than expected on Saturday, and the task of planning for the big move further cut into the fractal time.   As a result, today's image was short-shrifted, and will remain forever nameless and unrated.

It pictures an unexceptional midget in the Z^(1.3)+C fractal as it appears 12 levels up the logarithmic spiral.   Like so many low order midgets, today's midget is surrounded by a highly fractured pattern giving the impression of an explosion.

The render time of just under 9 minutes is a bit long for an unrated image, but the wait can be eliminated by downloading the completed GIF image from the FOTD web site at:
http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html

High winds, temperatures in the 40's and occasional showers kept the fractal cats indoors on Saturday.   When night fell, the rain showers changed to flurries of snow, but by that time the cats were more interested in their tuna.   My day was unexpectedly busy with work and moving preparations, which means the next FOTD will not appear until Tuesday.   Until 48 hours from now, take care, and be at peace.
