FOTD -- May 05, 2005   (Rating 5)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's scene is again located in the Z^(1.5)+C Mandeloid, this time 100 levels up the logarithmic spiral.   It is one of the more unusual fractals I have yet come upon, though not necessarily one of the more artistic.   The name "Lunahalf" refers to the prominent half-filled circle near the right edge of the frame, which resembles a half moon.   There are also several Mandeloid midgets scattered through the rest of the scene.

The rating of a 5 is average; the render time on my unit of 36 minutes is slow.   But the pre-rendered image will soon be available on the FOTD web site at:
http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html

Wednesday turned out slightly cloudy and slightly chilly here at Fractal Central, but the fractal cats were determined to have a good day, which is exactly what they did.   Today is starting sunnier and milder.   It should be another good day.   My work is moderate, and the fractals are plentiful.   Until the next FOTD appears in 24 hours, take care, and see you then.
