FOTD -- April 10, 2005   (Rating 5)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's fractal looks like four elephants.   It also looks like a fancy pancake, so I named it "Iterative Pancake".   The image is actually a scene in the fractal that results when the tiniest bit of Z^(-1.5) is subtracted from 2 parts of Z^(0.9) and the difference is added to (1/C).

It's only an average image, which is worth no more than a rating of an average 5.   The render time of 4-1/2 minutes is thankfully short.   And as always, the finished GIF image is available on the FOTD web site at:

Saturday was a totally perfect spring day here at Fractal Central, filled with nothing but sun, gentle breezes, and a high temperature of 66F 18C, which made the fractal cats as happy as aged cats can be.   Since today is starting the same, I expect a repeat.   For me, the work is light and the fractals keep coming.   The next one will arrive in 24 hours.   Until then, take care, and be of stout heart, but not too stout.
