Fractal of the Day

FOTD -- April 07, 2005   (Rating 6)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's image is a gloomy scene which I named "Phantom Spirals".   Bits and pieces of spirals float in the fractal sky.   The somber gloominess is relieved by tiny brilliant yellow sparks of hope on the rolling horizon, while the chaotic background is filled with Julia sets.   The scene was rendered with the outside set to 'fmod'.

The render time of over 22 minutes can be eliminated by downloading the finished image from the FOTD web site at:
http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html

The weather was perfect on Wednesday; the cats were quite happy.   Today is starting nearly as good.   The work is moderate; my mood could be better.   The next FOTD will likely appear in 24 hours.   Until then, take care, and cling to fractal hope.
