FOTD -- July 05, 2004   (Rating 6)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

I am using the holiday today to try to get caught up in some of the work, so this discussion must be brief.

Today's quickie image takes us to a filament of the Z^1.3+C Mandeloid, when it is iterated 20 levels down the logarithmic hyper-spiral.   I named it "Funny Filaments".   The reason for the name will become obvious when the image is seen.

The rating of a 6 combines with a render time of 3 minutes to give an overall value of 201.   The value can be greatly increased by downloading the finished image from:

Independence Saturday was near perfect here at Fractal Central, with brilliant sun, a temperature of 86F 30C, and happy cats.   Independence day itself -- Sunday -- was less than perfect.   The clouds that hung around all day released enough rain to keep the cats indoors.   But the rain stopped before sunset, permitting the many area fireworks displays to go off on schedule.   This disturbed the cats, who do not like the noise of fireworks.   This morning is starting sunny, and it is turning quite hot.   The cats are giving thanks, but will it stay dry?.

I'll give thanks when I catch up on the work.   And from the way things are going, that may be a while.   Until next time, which will be somewhere between one and three days, take care, and where did yesterday go?
