FOTD -- May 13, 2003   (Rating 5)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

There is a huge rush here at Fractal Central this morning, which once again means a truncated discussion.   I don't know whether to cry or curse, so I'll probably do a bit of both.

With more work than I could handle, I had almost no time to search the parent fractal for another scene.   What I did was follow another filament that led into a kind of ring, and chose the first midget I found there.

I named the image "Fractal Membrane" because that's what it reminds me of.   I rated the scene at an average 5.   What else could I do?   The render time is a dragging 22 minutes, but this can be cut to a minute or so if the image is downloaded from one of the FOTD web sites.

Monday was cloudy, chilly and blustery here at Fractal Central, with light showers in the afternoon.   The temperature of 68F 20C completed the miserable scene that kept the fractal duo confined indoors all day.   Their moods reflected the weather, and treats were needed.

Today could well be a repeat, so I had best have the treats ready.   Until tomorrow's FOTD, take care, and watch your words.
