FOTD -- September 12, 2002   (Rating 7)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's discussion will be brief.   When one is in as sour a mood as I am, it's better to remain silent than to speak out and risk offending.

Today's fractal is another of my evaporated ones.   I colored it with a palette of dark blues and indigo, and named it "A Somber Minibrot".   The rating of 7 might be a bit over-optimistic, but who cares.   The outzoom will reveal a horseshoe crab floating in a lagoon -- but what the heck.   The render time of 15 minutes is tiresome, but the download from:
http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html
or from:
http://sdboyd.dyndns.org/~sdboyd/fotd/
is far more reasonable.

The weather here at F.C. on Wednesday was sunny and pleasant enough, with a temperature of 81F 27C, but the high winds from a hurricane just off the coast made things too hectic for the fractal cats, who took a brief glance outdoors and promptly retired testily to their sofa beds.

Now, there's work to be done, so before I get myself into any more trouble, take care, and keep your cool.
