FOTD -- March 03, 2002   (Rating 6)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's image, which rates a 6, is a zoom into one of my old FOTD images.   This is why I named it "Second Chance-01".   And yes, the '01' part does imply that I will be featuring many more zooms into old FOTD's.   Those old images each hold infinities of scenes that were missed the first time I passed that way.   It's time to give them a second chance at life.

Today's image is found in one of the images that appeared in December of 1998.   At the moment I forget which one.   The formula is the direct precursor of my overworked MandelbrotMix4 formula.

And the time required to see the second chance is 23 minutes, for those who choose to run the parameter file.   It is far less when the GIF file of the image is downloaded from:
http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html
or from:

The fractal weather Saturday was cloudy, with rain beginning in the afternoon.   The cats were quite unhappy.   The rain is still falling today, so the cats will once again be unhappy.

A rainy day however is perfect for gathering and formatting old FOTD's.   And I've still got an impressive amount of gathering to do.   So until next time in a few days, take care, and start anticipating.
