From Luray drive east on Rt. 211 toward Sperryville and  the Skyline Drive Park entrance.  Big Meadows is directly behind Eldon Downs and Grand View Farm.

 

From the Big Meadows lodge on Skyline Drive you can access the Appalachian Trail.  Specific horse trails are marked on park area maps.
