What would a Wedding be without floral arrangements?
So many floral decisions to make:
The church - at the altar and the pews.
The reception - arrangements at the bridal table as well as the buffet table. Small centerpieces placed on tables for a formal meal, a small arrangement on the guest book table, and something for the cake table.
The bridal bouquet and perhaps a going away corsage.
The bridesmaids' bouquet
Arrangements for the flowergirl are usually presented as a decorative basket filled with petals for the flowergirl to scatter along the aisle.
Boutonnieres for the groom, fathers, grandfathers, and ushers.
Corsages for the mothers and grandmothers. That's enough to
make quite a dent in any budget. With a little planning and a little crafting
you may find ways to cut corners without diminishing the total effect.
Try adding some ivy to your bouquet - after the
ceremony root it in water and present
the finished plants to someone special and save one for yourself.
For my wedding I used a combination of silk and dried
flowers and still have the bouquet - more than 25 years later.
