Downers Grove Chess Club

The Downers Grove Chess Club provides friendly and fun chess action. DGCC is the longest running chess club in DuPage County. We meet at a quiet, and easy-to-get-to facility with free parking. Chess players of all levels of chess experience attend and are welcome. Downers Grove Chess Club has no dues: it is entirely free to participate.

DGCC membership is at 40 members, with a typical attendance of about 16 players per club meeting, and a high of 26. This includes 4 players with a master or expert rating. DGCC is an affiliate of the United States Chess Federation and of the Illinois Chess Association. We field a chess team in the Chicago Industrial Chess League.

At the Maple Ave. exit off I-355, go one block east to the first stoplight at Walnut Ave. Turn left and go north ½ mile to 5101 Walnut Ave. We're in a conference room in the Downers Grove Public Works Offices. (Which is across the street from the Illinois Vehicle Emissions Test Station.) See maps below.
