Lantern Tour, Holiday Bazaar Set for Dec. 4 and 5

Planning is well underway for the season's Holiday Bazaar. Crafts workshops are offered most weekends following the 10 a.m. service in anticipation of a joyous and successful event.

Tickets are being sold for a "Super" 50-50 with a drawing at the conclusion of the bazaar, 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5. The winner could take home several thousand dollars in prize cash!

Interested merchants are being asked to donate items for our silent auction, which includes gift certificates and other merchandise. Parish members should contact the church office for a letter to provide to merchants.

Advance orders are being taken for holiday poinsettias, a very popular item each year. Prices range from $8 to $30. The direct-from-the-greenhouse blooms are a value conscious way to bring holiday joy to your home.

On Friday, Dec. 4 the Historic Four Corners Lantern Tour will provide a trip back through time to Shrewsbury in centuries past.

Costumed guides will provide an informative look at four venues: Christ Church; the Presbyterian Church at Shrewsbury; Shrewsbury Friends’ Meeting and the Allen House, once a colonial tavern.

There will be two tours, one at 6 p.m. and one at 8 p.m.

The per person cost is $15 for adults, $8 for children under 12 and $6 each for those in youth groups of 12 or more.
