When we were trying to come up with a name for this guy, we wanted to take into account his somewhat unusual pose.
He sort of said "off-road" to us, so we looked through all of the names for Sport Utility Vehicles.
Trooper was the hands-down favorite. So, here he is, "Trooper" in honor of the original SUV, the horse!
We think he would make a fantastic performance horse!
Imagine all of the set-ups he could carry! Endurance? Native American? Trail? Riding the range? Get creative!
Trooper is well balanced in an easy going walk as he carefully chooses the best footing down a rocky hill.
What a calm, beautiful face! Is he mouthing at a bit, or is he just chewing a last bit of grass as he heads down the hill toward a better grazing spot?
Is there a color that this horse couldn't carry well?
