I have a problem to work out here; I THOUGHT using an "&" and a ";" around a statement character made it inoperable and visible; it didn't work! I will switch to ISO 8859-1 characters such as "& gt ;" for ">" and "& lt ;" for "<"; please bear with me as I get around to it (but see ISO 8859 CHARACTERS).

Of these the first is the most helpful at the most basic level, while the second and third are now my mainstay (none of which explains why some of my local links still aren't working!); and then there is
Douglas R. Jacobson's fantastic RGB Hex Triplet Color Chart, which you just have to see to believe!
I found a whole slew of useful HTML links on InfoSeek.
I also want to thank Barry W. Pase of Barry's Clip Art Server for many of my small images.
HTML Details - I am sure glad that "<b> - - - </b>" is now acceptable in lieu of "<strong> - - - </strong>" for BOLD; it will save a lot of space; now, all we need is a shorter way than " " to create a mandatory character space, such as at the beginning of a line or to give a double space:
LLANFAIRPWLLGWYNGYLLGOGERYCHWRYNDROBWLLLLANTYSILIOGOGOGOCH.

Be sure to see the highly specialized devices at the top of my HOME PAGE and the full coverage of them at ECBS and BOOK.
If you're into computers, you've GOT to see Peter Zale's "Helen, Sweetheart of the Internet" comic strip; if it's not in your paper, get his book, "Techies Unite!" - see ComicsPage and Helen.

The ancillary device, the "B.O.O.K" should also be covered here -
Here's how it works:
BOOK is constructed of sequentially numbered sheets of paper (recyclable), each capable of holding thousands of bits of information. The pages are locked together with a custom-fit device called a binder which keeps the sheets in their correct sequence. Opaque Paper Technology (OPT) allows manufacturers to use both sides of the sheet, doubling the information density and cutting costs. Experts are divided on the prospects for further increases in information density; for now, BOOKS with more information simply use more pages. Each sheet is scanned optically, registering information directly into your brain. A flick of the finger takes you to the next sheet. BOOK never crashes or requires rebooting, though, like other devices, it can become damaged if coffee is spilled on it and it becomes unusable if dropped too many times on a hard surface, but it is far more durable than all personal computers on the market. The "browse" feature allows you to move instantly to any sheet, and move forward or backward as you wish. Many come with an "index" feature, which pin-points the exact location of any selected information for instant retrieval.
An optional "Bookmark" accessory allows you to open BOOK to the exact place you left it in a previous session - even if the BOOK has been closed. Bookmarks fit universal design standards; thus, a single Bookmark can be used in BOOKs by various manufacturers. Conversely, numerous BOOK markers can be used in a single BOOK if the user wants to store numerous views at once. The number is limited only by the number of pages in the BOOK.
You can also make personal notes next to BOOK text entries with optional programming tools, Portable Erasable Nib Cryptic Intercommunication Language Stylii (PENCILS).
Portable, durable, and affordable, BOOK is being hailed as a precursor of a new entertainment wave. BOOK's appeal seems so certain that thousands of content creators have committed to the platform and investors are reportedly flocking to invest. Look for a flood of new titles soon.
What's so great about the ECBS is that it can even be used to back up a computer that isn't even functional, let alone turned on or plugged in!
Together with the optional programming tools, Portable Erasable Nib Cryptic Intercommunication Language Styli (PENCILS), these two breakthroughs in technology, ECBS and BOOKs were just made for each other!
Note, however, the common misconception that PENCILS are more than one stylus; that is an error promulgated by Bull Gates of MicroHard. They are "stylii". Do not accept substitutes and never leave home without one!
ECBS is one sharp idea, although the efficacy of the model I received was blunted by lack of a conoidal operating interface. Also, the connector only has one lead. A special reconnection device is available; however, clever operators and techs have found that acceptable fixes can be effectuated with a simple pocket knife.
Complete blank Bio-Optic Organized Knowledge systems are also available as pads or single sheets (disks can also be used); use of unformatted BOOK systems minimizes or even obviates the need to use the ECBS "DELETE" function.
Further, in case of erratic power or power surges, the "DELETE" functionality socket is wholly insulated by rubber; there is no possibility of unwanted erasures.
Novices must also beware of unauthorized Portable Erasable Nib Cryptic Intercommunication Language Stylii (PENCILS) which flood the market, especially those put out by Eagle, Eberhard-Faber, Carter, and others; they often turn out to be nothing more than Stylus Programming Alternate Methodologies (SPAM)!

At this moment (01 Nov 2008), I'm using an 11" x 8" monitor screen so,
logically (sez I), if I make a drawing exactly 11" x 8" and lay it out
with individual pixels, it should measure 880 x 640 pixels. So I
did and here it is:
(01 Nov 08)
U. S. flag (multilingual) or Continental/Grand Union Flag of 1775 (English-speaking)
or a U. S. flag for the 21st Century, my variation on the Continental/Grand Union Flag (English-speaking)?
