- Alec Hicks, Jr. consults on facility and property management
issues. Over 28 years of managing buildings, he has developed considerable
expertise in preparing operating budgets and projections, performing energy
audits, evaluating service contracts, developing contract specifications,
and implementing preventive maintenance programs. His experience also includes
setting up the organizations and procedures for day-to-day operations and
maintenance of commercial buildings.
- Mr. Hicks is a graduate of Villanova University
(Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering) and of Michigan State University (Master
of Business Administration). He is a Licensed Real Estate Broker (Pennsylvania
& New Jersey) and a Registered Professional Engineer (Michigan), and
holds the professional designations Certified Property Manager (CPM) from
the Institute of Real Estate Management and Real Property Administrator
(RPA) from the Building Owners and Managers Institute. In 1994, Alec Hicks
accepted an invitation to join the American Society of Real Estate Counselors.
- Mr. Hicks' consulting assignments include evaluating
management organizations, developing management plans, preparing operating
budgets, and developing outsourcing specifications. Other assignments entail
property inspections and due diligence, contract performance reviews, energy
audits, project management and ADA compliance.
- Mr. Hicks served as President of the Delaware
Valley Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management, as President
of Building Owners and Managers Association of Philadelphia, and as Director
of Building Owners and Managers Association International. He is a member
of the International Facilities Management Association.
