PENNYWEIGHT PARATROOPER ! STEP 5: TIME FOR A TEST PARACHUTE JUMP!
CONGRATULATIONS! You have now completed your Pennyweight Paratrooper! This means you are now a QUALIFIED PENNYWEIGHT PARATROOPER PARACHUTE RIGGER! This is an outstanding accomplishment. Don't forget to give your Pennyweight Paratrooper a name! And now, your Pennyweight Paratrooper is ready for his first parachute jump. Hold the parachute by the top near the center hole so that the paratrooper dangles by his lines
straight down under the parachute. Make sure the lines are adjusted to equal tension by
checking to see that the paratrooper's hands are at the exact center of the two main strings (you may
need to slide the hands along the strings occasionally to get them back to exact center.)
Drop parachute gently and let the paratrooper float to the ground. This should result in a
perfectly controlled and easy jump for the paratrooper, with a nice soft landing! Now your Pennyweight Paratrooper can officially wear a "jump wings" medal because he has joined the proud ranks of paratroopers everywhere. If you want to draw his medal on his uniform I'm sure he would appreciate it!
